Interestingly,if you have been wishing for a luscious mane,Habib,who has been a leading hairstylist for decades,shares a ‘big’ secret. “Develop a sense of humour,laugh out loud. Not only will your skin glow but your hair will grow healthy too,” Jawed Habib points out. In Panchkula to roll out his first spa and salon,Habib was in a good mood,as always,and ready to list out the latest trends. “The biggest trend is fashion itself. Times have changed and gone are the days when it was just about a haircut. Now it’s more to do with customizing a look for the client,” said Habib who has now expanded his hair business to include beauty as well as his training academies. “As well as the spa services,” adds Jawed who finds an increasing number of people spending as long as a day at spa. “It’s a natural progression to the beauty business but unfortunately there’s an increasing demand of skilled professionals,” mentions Jawed. Keeping that in mind,his academies,including the recently launched one at Panchkula,offer specialised courses in hair styling and cosmetology. “I have courses ranging from 24 weeks to six weeks that help those looking to start a career in the industry,” listed out Jawed who has been placing successful aspirants not just in his over 100 salons present in over 35 cities but elsewhere as well. “I was very surprised to find out that hairdressers are so much in demand in Canada and Australia that they qualify for immigration as well,” informed Habib who has acquired brands like Clara International and Clipso which provide training for young enthusiasts. “As for my future plans I am looking to launch a range of cosmetics in the country,” he lets us know.
