Man killed over bicycle row,4 held,three on run

Tarn Taran police have arrested four persons for the murder of Sucha Singh (50),a resident of Sur Singh village in Tarn Taran district. Sucha Singh was allegedly murdered by a group of persons on Tuesday night over a minor dispute relating to ownership of a bicycle.

“While Sucha Singh claimed he owned the bicycle,the other group claimed that the bicycle belonged to the owner for whom they worked. The accused were in an inebriated state. Seven persons have been booked for the murder. Four have been arrested and three are at large,” said Tarn Taran Senior Superintendent of Police Dinesh Partap Singh.

The accused had earlier in the day allegedly attacked Sucha Singh’s son Surjeet Singh over the issue and had inflicted injuries on him as well. Those who were booked in the case were Amrik Singh,Shamir Singh,Dharampal Singh,Satnam Singh,Deepa Singh,Lakha Singh and Kuldeep Singh.
