Ludhiana college case: No decision reached yet

The meeting, however, failed to reach a decision.

The Panjab University (PU) Vice-Chancellor,Prof Arun Kumar Grover,on Friday called a meeting of a committee, that visited Guru Nanak Girls College (GNGC) Ludhiana,to find out about an incident of unruliness wherein the college principal Charanjit Mahal allegedly threw her walking stick at Prof Rajesh Gill of the varsity. The meeting, however, failed to reach a decision.

The committee visited the college on May 27 to investigate into a complaint sent to the varsity by its 21 faculty members alleging harassment by the management. It was during lunch that the principal allegedly threw her stick towards Prof Gill, hitting her on the leg. Though the V-C called a meeting, nothing was decided.

Sources said that the college principal too has submitted a complaint against the committee alleging misconduct.
