How does Betty Nangia find time to breathe? Arguably Chandigarh’s most famous multi-tasker,Nangia has been flooded with queries from fans, friends and family — “When will she cut an album?” asks one. “When will she bring out a skin-care range,” asks another. “When will she share her secrets of pranic healing?” asks a third. On Wednesday,Nangia answered them all through a soft launch of two albums and a skin-care range. She also spoke at length about her pranic healing course.

As a singer,Nangia has been performing alongside Punjabi singer Dolly Guleria,on shows, events and recordings for five years. “This year,my friend Gurmeet Kaur and I decided to cut our own albums,” says Nangia. The result is Samarpan, comprising Ram bhajans, and another,as yet untitled, album that brings alive traditional Punjabi folk songs, those that date back to the time of the legendary Punjabi singer Surinder Kaur. “This comprises songs that we have grown up with such as Lathe Di Chadar,Chann Kidaan Guzari,Mera Laung Gawacha and Charkha,” explains Nangia.

A naturopath,Nangia also unveiled her skin-care range called Me and Maz. Coming up are also “basic 12-hour classes on how to use energy to heal the pranic way,” says Nangia.
