An all-round display from Karanveer Singh Brar (61 no and 2 for 20) guided Satluj Cricket Academy to a resounding 72-run win over Holy Child Cricket Academy in the final of the U-14 T-20 Cricket Tournament being organised by Kundan Cricket Academy on Sunday. Holy Child Cricket Academy won the toss and elected to field first. Their decision backfired as Satluj Cricket Academy posted a mammoth total of 179 for 5 in the allotted 20 overs. Karanveer Singh Brar scored his third half-century of the series as he played an unbeaten knock of 61 runs. Brar was ably assisted by Abhishek Thakur who scored 51 runs. Nikhil claimed three wickets for 40 runs. Chasing the target,Holy Child Cricket Academy were bundled out for a total of 107 runs in 17 overs. Nikhil played a defiant knock of 42 runs but his effort went into vain. Harpreet Singh claimed five wickets for 32 runs.

Gurdaspur claim overall trophyMohali: Gurdaspur won the overall trophy on the concluding day of the 31st Punjab State Judo Championship organised by Baba Mal Dad Charitable Trust and Mohali Judo Association at BMD Public School,Mohali. Many international players like Navjot Chana,Navdeep Chana,Yashpal Solanki,Ranjit Kaur and Amit Kumar took part in the tournament.

Even day for DAV-8,DAV Amritsar
Hosts DAV Sector 8 defeated DAV School,Amritsar 4-32 to claim the basketball title in the All India Mahatma Hansraj Aryan Tournament being held at DAV School,Sector 8,on Sunday. Sanoj emerged as the top scorer with 14 points. Meanwhile,the hosts were again on target as they prevailed over DAV School Amritsar 18-15 to win the handball title. Arjun netted six goals for the team. DAV-8 claimed a hat-trick of titles when they once again defeated DAV-Amritsar to clinch the lawn tennis title. DAV Amritsar broke the final jinx when they defeated DAV-8 to clinch the kabaddi title. Gurpreet emerged as highest point getter with 14 points. In archery,DAV Amritsar came first,followed by DAV-8,while DAV Amritsar also went on to win the wrestling title. In hockey,DAV Amritsar outplayed CN DAV School Kurali 3-0 to enter the finals.
