3 BRD edge out St Johns School
Buoyed by a fine show by Pandey (16 points),3 BRD Air Force scored a 49-36 win over St John’s High School,Sector 26 in a league match of the Senior State Basketball Championship being played at New Public School,Sector 18 on Friday. The winning team was leading by 29-18 at half-time. Amit was the other main scorer for the winning team as he scored 12 points while Shejory scored 11 points. For the losing side,Rishab was the top scorer scoring 14 points while Shitij scored 11 points. Akshay contributed six points.

In another match of the day,New Public School Club,Sector 18,scored a 55-45 win over Government College,Sector 11. The winning team was leading by a score of 37-25 at halftime. For the winning team,Gurjot was the highest scorer as he contributed 17 points while Navdeep scored 15 points. Navjot contributed nine points as NPS Club registered a moral boosting win. For the losing side,Jograj scored 12 points while Prasantha scored ten points. Vivek contributed five points.

Cricket tourney from December 27
Chandigarh Sports Club will organise the IIIrd Tilak Raj Mittal Memorial League Cricket Tournament from December 27 at the Satluj Public School cricket ground,Sector 4. A minimum of four teams will take part in the tournament with each team playing against the remaining teams at least once. The matches of 20 overs a side will be played on Sundays and gazetted holidays. Entries for the tournament close on December 24. The entries should be submitted to Rajinder Sharma at 09217600671.

Saurabh to lead Chandigarh U-14 team
Saurabh Vaswan will lead sixteen-member Chandigarh Under-14 cricket team in the upcoming School National tournament t be held from December 22 in Mumbai.
