PYKKA UT Schools Games from September 29
Nehru Yuva Kendra Chandigarh in collaboration with the Chandiarh Sports Department,will organise State Level Inter-School Games for Under-16 from September 29 to October 1. Competitions will be conducted in archery (Lake Club),athletics (Sports Complex Sector 7),badminton (Badminton Hall Sector 42),basketball (Sector 7 Sports Complex),hockey (Sector 18 Hockey Stadium),football (Sector 17 Football Stadium),table tennis (Sector 23 Table Tennis Hall),volleyball (Sector 7 Sports Complex),weightlifting (Sector 42 Weightlifting Hall) and wrestling (Sector 42 coaching centre). These competitions are being organised under the Panchayat Yuva Krida aur Khel Abhiyan (PYKKA). Cricket trials on September 19
Trials will be held to select the North Zone uU-15 cricket team on September 19 at 11:30 am at Hansraj Public cricket ground,Sector 6,Panchkula,for the upcoming All India Rajiv Gandhi U-15 League Cricket Championship to be held at Tau Devi Lal cricket stadium and cricket grounds in Chandigarh from October 1 to 3. Players from all over North Zone born on or after 01-01-1995 are eligible to take part in the trails. After the trials,there will be a camp for the players where the final 15-member team will be selcted. Chandigarh Kho Kho Association will conduct trials for the selection of the team for the 30th Junior National Kho Kho Championship (Boys and Girls) to be held at Bhalai (Chhatisgarh) from October 23 to 27. The trials will be held at SGGS Senior Secondary School,Sector 35,Chandigarh,at 4 pm on September 29. Players born on or after 1-1-1992 or after are eligible for this trial. Players should bring their original Date of Birth certificate. Hockey trials today

The Chandigarh Hockey Association will hold trials at the Hockey stadium,Sector 18,at 2 pm on September 18 to select the Chandigarh team for the Under-20 National Hockey Championship to be held at Pune from September 25 to October 5. Both the boys and girls teams would be selected during the trials. Players born on or after 01.01.1990 are eligible to take part in the trials. The Chandigarh Basketball Association has selected boys and girls teams which will participate in the 37th Sub-Junior National Basketball Championship to be held at Kangra (Himachal Pradesh).The selected players should report at the venue for coaching camp on September 18 at New Public School-18 at 6pm.
