KCW,Ludhiana register win
Khalsa College for Women,Ludhiana scored a 3-0 win over Dashmesh Girls College,Badal in a match of the Panjab University Inter-College Hockey (Women) Championship played at Panjab University grounds on Saturday. In another match of the day,Government College for Women,Ludhiana scored a 16-0 win over Khalsa College for Women,Sidhwan Khurd.
Mixed day for NPS
New Public School,Chandigarh scored an emphatic 51-20 win over DAV Public School,Sector 8 in a match of the Rao Jai Singh Basketball Tournament being played at NPS on Saturday. In another match of the day,Police DAV School,Amritsar scored a 58-2 win over DAV Senior Secondary School,Sector 15,Chandigarh. It was an easy going for BKSP,Bangladesh as they scored a 41-7 win over Ashoka Senior Secondary School. In another match of the day,Yadavindra Public School scored a 52-30 win over Guru Nanak Public School. In another match of the day,New Public School scored a narrow 98-91 win over Yadavindra Public School.
SGGS college claim title
Sri Guru Gobind Singh College,Chandigarh won the Panjab University Judo (Men) Championship for the 2010-2011 session with 35 points. Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College,Mahilpur claimed the second spot with 13.5 points while DAV College,Chandigarh claimed the third spot with 9.5 points.
In the 56 Kg category,Raj Kumar of DAV College,Chandigarh claimed the top spot while the second spot was claimed by Pankaj of SCD Government College,Ludhiana. Ajay Kumar and Ashish Sharma of GN Khalsa College,Abohar and Ashish Sharma of SGGS Khalsa College,Mahilpur shared the third spot. In the 60 Kg category,Himanshu of SGGS College,Chandigarh claimed the top spot while the second spot was claimed by Amritpal Singh of SGGS Khalsa College,Mahilpur. The third spot was shared by rajan of DAV College,Hoshiarpur and Sunil Kumar of GN Khalsa College,Abohar. In the 66 Kg category,Vijay Sharma of SGGS College,Chandigarh claimed the top spot while the second spot was claimed by Rahul Singh of DAV College,Chandigarh. The third spot was shared by Yousuf of Malwa College,Samrala and Baldev Singh of GN Khalsa College,Abohar.
Badminton tournament from November 24
Chandigarh State Badminton Championship for all age groups will be held at Sector 42 Badminton Hall from November 24. All eligible players are required to send their entries before November 21 with entry free to Surinder Mahajan,coach at Panjab University Centre,Vijay Sharma,vice-president,CBA,Sector 42 Centre and Promila,badminton coach at Sector 23 Centre from 8.00 am to 10.00 am.
