When he first arrived on the sets of UTV Bindasss Dadagiri,Nitin Chauhaan thought it was a bad idea to enrol in the bootcamp. Im a theatre person….I am afraid of fights,I was the only one from Delhi and in front of me were these two giants by the name of Saif and Samrat, and all I could think was Oh man, they are going to vote me out in a jiffy! But they didnt. And today, after a gruelling month in the world bullies and relentless torture,20-year-old Nitin stands tall as the new Dada on the Block. The Gentle Giant,as the crew called him,has finally earned a dont mess with me belt.
Once I was in,all I had in mind was to carry out the task with utmost sincerity and concentration. I had to give it my best shot and I did, tells the champ who aced in the department of brain and proved his mettle in the department of brawn. Before auditioning for Dadagiri,I had my set of complexes and fears, and it was my modeling agent who pushed me to for the show, while Nitin is a hardcore reality show fan,Dadagiri was a different ballgame altogether. From creepy crawlies, crabs, lizards to running barefoot on burning coal, conquering heights, being pushed into water tanks,we did it all,and boy was it an awesome journey! His mantra: forget the girls: no bird watching, keep the task in focus, listen carefully and execute. But why Dadagiri considering hes doing theatre and modeling? This is one place where I can take a challenge and prove myself. I consciously didnt go in for television serials for they all look so similar and more than your real name, you end up being known as your character! I didnt want to be branded like that. So,Nitins out there, making his mark. Whats next? Id like to carry on with modeling and if given a chance would love to get into acting, and stick to reality shows like Dadagiri. All the best!
