The At Home by the newly-appointed Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Shivraj Patil witnessed people from all walks of life alighting at the Punjab Raj Bhawan grounds. Chief Minister of Punjab Prakash Singh Badal made an appearance along with some of his Cabinet colleagues. Politicians cutting across party lines as well as defence personnel were present on the occasion. BJP leaders Balramji Dass Tandon,Sanjay Tandon and Yash Pal Mahajan,president of Chandigarh Territorial Congress Committee B B Behl and other Congress leaders were there. Director of GMCH-32 Dr Raj Bahadur was also seen at the Raj Bhawan. The Governor interacted with the police officials and city residents who had been awarded during the Republic Day function at Sector 17 earlier in the day. With this being the first At Home hosted by Patil he was seen trying to get himself acquainted with the residents. Mayor Anu Chatrath along with councillors of Congress,BJP and BSP were also present. Jaspal Bhatti and his wife Savita Bhatti along with other personalities from the entertainment industry made an appearance. Apart from them Patil’s family and friends interacted with the guests.
