Hena’s FB posting not abusive: Dad

A day after a meeting with the UT SSP Naunihal Singh,22-year-old Henna Bakshi’s father,an army officer,insisted Henna had not abused any police official directly and that she was just upset over the alleged harassment she had to face while getting a case of her car theft registered. But Singh reiterated,“I cannot comment on the case yet as it is premature to do so. We are following legal procedures and further investigation in the case is under progress.”

Bakshi was booked by Chandigarh police along with one Kamalpreet for posting abusive comments on the Chandigarh Traffic Police Facebook page despite being warned on the website. It was following alleged police inaction in the case relating to her car theft that Bakshi started posting abusive messages on the page.

On September 14,a case of sending offensive messages through communication service that are grossly offensive or have menacing character and publishing offensive information in electronic form was registered against the two accused. If convicted,they can be jailed for up to three years.
