Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Monday officially inaugurated the election campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections,at a public meeting at Saha in Mullana assembly constituency. The meeting,organised by HPCC President and local MLA Phool Chand Mullana,saw Hooda appealing to the people to provide a massive mandate to Mullana.
Also,Hooda disclosed that the Ambala Irrigation Project at a cost of about Rs 300 crore has been formulated and sent to the Central Water Commission (CWC) for its approval. The project will ensure adequate irrigation facilities in Ambala district and adjoining areas.
Besides,the first phase of the Rs 268 crore Dadupur-Nalvi canal has been completed at a cost of Rs 132.27 crore.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated the Rajiv Gandhi Government College at Saha,15 km from here before addressing the public meeting.
Commenting on the split in the alliance between BJP and INLD,Hooda said that since it was formed with selfish motives,he anticipated this at the time of its formation itself. He also added that the alliance between BSP and HJC would meet the same fate and was likely to wither away.
