Hamid Ansari to attend PGIs 51st Foundation Day function today

PGIMER will hold its golden jubilee celebrations and 51st Foundation Day function on Saturday. The Vice-President of India,M Hamid Ansari,will be the chief guest of the function.

PGIMER will hold its golden jubilee celebrations and 51st Foundation Day function on Saturday. The Vice-President of India,M Hamid Ansari,will be the chief guest of the function.

The function will be presided over by the president of the institute and Gulam Nabi Azad,Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare. The guest of honour will be Santosh Chowdhary,Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare.

Hamid Ansari and Gulam Nabi Azad will address the faculty,students and staff of PGIMER during the function. Eight employees of the institute will be given certificates of merit. A report of Golden Jubilee Celebrations will be read out by Prof SK Jindal,Chairman,Golden Jubilee Celebrations.

PGIMER,Chandigarh was formally inaugurated by then Prime Minister JL Nehru on July 7,1963 and this year,it completes fifty years of its existence and enters its 51st year on July 7,2013.
