Goyal sisters- Arunima and Tarini- once again came up with stellar performances to take the lead in u-25 and u-13 categories respectively in the Chandigarh Under-25 Youth and Under-13 Open and Girl chess championship being held at St Xavier’s School,Sector 44,on Saturday. While elder sister Arunima was leading in u-25 category with three points along with Piyush after third round,the younger one was sharing the lead along with Kashish,Jaskeerat Singh,Anubhav Tuknayat after garnering three points. A total of 53 players from different Schools of Chandigarh are participating in this Championship. There are 12 international rated players participating in this championship. Two boys and two girls in each category will be selected to represent Chandigarh at the Nationals to be held at Kerala (Under-25) from October 1 to 10 and Pondicherry (Under-13) from June 29 to July 8.
