Rajwinder Golu made his presence felt once again felt in the MP Pandove XI team as he bowled well to pick up four vital wickets to restrict Chaman Lal Malhotra XI team on a modest score on the first day of the finals of the Emerging Players Tournament for Umesh Kumar Trophy held at Dhruv Pandove stadium in Patiala on Friday.
Winning the toss,Chaman Lal Malhotra XI were rocked in the very first over when medium pacer Baltej Singh had opener Sat pal snapped by wicketkeeper Perry Goel without troubling the score-board. Then,some useful partnerships by their batsmen saw the team reach 190 in 68.3 overs.Bharat top scored with 45 off 117 balls which was laden with four boundaries and one towering six. Gunjot Singh took three wickets,while Baltej Singh scalped two wickets. In reply,MP Pandove made a good start as they made 46 for no loss in 19 overs at the close of first day’s play. Kunwar Raina was batting on 20 while Jeevanjot was unbeaten on 17.
