Sony India has announced its leadership status in the compact camera segment by touching a market share of 45 percent,thats a three percent rise from the previous year. Annoucing the same was Takahiro Hirata,Product Head,Digital Imaging,Sony who further elaborated that the company is looking to a heavy investment strategy of Rs 500 million and will introduce the product line-up in various cyber-shot cameras. The newly launched range is W,T,S,H series. The cameras are multi-equipped with revolutionary technologies like Sweep Panorama,High Definition (HD) movie,and a high resolution of 14 mega-pixel to produce sharper and cleaner pioctures. The camera launch is in synchronisation with Sonys global strategy to design and create innovative products which would benefit the customers. It has been our constant endeavour to provide the best technological solutions for all target groups, he further added. The Sweep Panorama and the HD movie technologies are priced between Rs 12,990 to Rs 29,990.
