Buoyed by a superb show by their forwards,Chandigarh scored an emphatic 42-15 win over Hindon in a league match of the WAC Inter-Area Handball Championship being played at Air Force Station on Thursday.

Krishana was one of the main scorers for the winning team as he scored 12 goals while Bhati claimed eight goals. Panday and Sahni scored four and three goals respectively. For the losing side,Shetty claimed five goals while Bharati scored three goals. Rao,Joshi and Barai scored one goal each.

In the second match of the day,HQ WAC (U) scored a 27-14 win over Halwara. Vinay was the star of the day for the winning team as he scored 17 goals while Nair scored six goals. B Kumar scored two goals while DR Singh and Vishavkarma scored one goal each. For the losing side,Manu scored eight goals while Satyanarayan scored six goals.

In another match of the day,Pathankot scored an emphatic 24-8 win over Bathinda. Dalal was the highest scorer for the winning team as he scored eight goals while Deepak scored seven goals. Yusuf scored five goals for the winning team while Sunil and Satish scored two goals each. For the losing side,Manoj scored three goals while Jeyesh and Vargesh scored two goals each. Singh scored one goal.
