Some Tricity students have shown that illness,even learning disabilities,can be conquered through sheer will power. Here are a few of them.

Ashutosh Kaushal: This student of Bhavan Vidyalaya school,Sector 27,is a blood cancer patient who is still battling the disease. Despite being hospitalised before the exam,he secured a CGPA of 7. Diagnosed with cancer in 2010,Kaushal has a keen interest in studies and hopes to pursue the medical stream.

Atharv Vasishth: Despite suffering from dyslexia and dysgraphia,this student of St John’s High School,Sector 26,earned a CGPA of 7.8. Vasishth credits his teachers and parents for his grades. Apart from this,he has won bronze in the national Taekwondo championships organised by CBSE and also won a black belt in other competitions. With a passion for computers,he wants to do a course on hacking and computer security but in the long run,wishes to start his own business. He is now perusing Commerce.

Akshit Pathania: This student of KBDAV,Sector 7,was bed-ridden during much of his preparation time after displacing his knee. Friends pitched in with notes and he made it a point to keep in touch with his school authorities. All the effort has paid off as Akshit secured a perfect CGPA of 10. He attributes his success to his teachers,the almighty and his parents.
