For better & verse
In our own words,a literary journal from Burning Bush Publications is now online. And what’s heartening is the fact that the Fall ‘09 Edition of the journal includes a sonnet by Dr SS Bhatti, former principal,Chandigarh College of Architecture. Titled All Sensory Pleasures Have Their Intrinsic Limit…Bhatti has written over 4,000 poems in four languages and published poetry anthologies. Poems were invited in an international competition. Leah Gerber,a talented young writer, served as the Guest Editor for the ‘09 Edition, and chose 75 per cent of the pieces for publication this year. Lesléa Newman’s poem “What the Angel Really Said” won the Burning Bush Poetry Prize for 2009. Dion Farquahar and Erna Hennessy’s works earned an honourable mention. Dr Bhatti’s sonnet, selected by Abby Bogomolny, appears at number one.
