Whirlpool of India is now the official sponsor and ‘cooling partner’ of IPL Season 3’s Kings XI Punjab team. STARTING February 7,Gurukul Vidyapeeth Group of Institutes in association with S-4 Trust will kick off a series of competitions,the first one being ‘Voice of Chandigarh – 2010’ at Government Museum and Art Gallery,Sector 10. The competition will have two categories: 9-14 years and 14-18 years of age. Budding singers will be shortlisted by eminent vocalist and playback singer Rinku Kalia,winner of Zee TV’s “Sa Re Ga Ma”. “The purpose of organising this event is to encourage the young generation and give them an opportunity to showcase their latent talent,creativity and ingenuity,” said Rinku. The talent hunt will culminate into a Mega Musical show on September 29,on the birthday of legendary Lata Mangeshkar at Tagore Theatre,Chandigarh.” The winners of the talent hunt will also get an opportunity to work in the audio- visual projects of the Gurukul Vidyapeeth and the S-4 Trust. Candidates just needs to download a simple form from the website http://www.gurukul.cc and register themselves online.

SRK to host Dare 2010
WHEN one of India’s premium B-school,IIPM and a popular business and marketing magazine,4Ps got together with India’s most sought after superstar,Shah Rukh Khan,one was guaranteed a rocking time! Such was the case with ‘Dare ‘09’,an event conceptualized and hosted by IIPM at their international campus in New Delhi last year. This time,‘Dare ‘10’ is only getting bigger and is set to step into Bangalore on February 8. SRK will host the grand finale comprising of six teams with 12 participants each. As many as 110 B-schools participated in four zonal rounds that were held simultaneously across India.
