The Chandigarh Fashion Week raised a toast not just to designer ensembles but lots of stylish jewellery as well. Among those who showcased their collections was Anmol,a city-based entrepreneur,whose designs adorned many models during the Week. Commanding excellence in Kundan polki and Hyderabadi polki,Anmol with her ‘A Jewels’ collection has caught the attention of many Bollywood stars and the region’s creme de la creme. More recently,Anmol participated in the ‘Bahrain Jewellery Arabia Show’ where her designs were much appreciated. Following the success of her last outing,Anmol is now packing her bags to participate in one of the biggest international jewellery shows to be held in Las Vegas followed by shows in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. “I have started working on ‘filigree’ gold which is very delicate,intricate work done in Kashmir and Rajasthan,” mentioned Anmol. She is also designing casual jewellery especially for youngsters for the G Wild brand which has stores all over India. “I am now planning to start outlets of my A Jewels collection in Delhi and Mumbai,” says the ace designer.

Winning drama
It was a special moment for Sandli Pairan Kala Kender,as it grabbed the first position in the 20th All India Drama and Dance Competition at the 5th International Theatre Festival held at Bareilly. The festival was organised by All India Cultural Association,Bareilly. Being a multi-lingual theatre festival,teams from different cultural backgrounds performed in their languages. Out of the 27 teams that participated,Sandli Pairan Kala Kender won the first prize for the city and region besides winning eight awards in different categories that included awards for best play,best direction,best actor,best actress,best lights,music and many more. “It feels great to see that our efforts have brought us success,” says Parveen Jaggi,Director of the play that won the first prize. They have also been invited by Prangan,a cultural organization in Patna,to perform their award winning play ‘VA-VAROLLE’,at the fifth International Theatre Festival,on from February 7 to 12.
