Fiza files fresh complaint against Chand

Fiza,wife of former Haryana deputy chief minister Chander Mohan alias Chand Mohammad,moved a fresh complaint against him on Tuesday.

Fiza,wife of former Haryana deputy chief minister Chander Mohan alias Chand Mohammad,moved a fresh complaint against him on Tuesday. The 37-year-old former assistant advocate general of Haryana has once again accused the 43-year-old Kalka Congress MLA of rape,cheating,hurting religious sentiments,defamation and criminal intimidation in her complaint before the Punjab Director General of Police. Fiza later told mediapersons that she will move the Punjab and Haryana High Court if the DGP failed to give justice.

Earlier,Fizas similar complaint against Chand was turned down by the Mohali Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) following his faxed statement from London claiming Fiza as his wife. Later,he divorced her on the phone.

Chand,who had escaped action while accepting me as his wife,now faces criminal charges which stand corroborated by his formal announcement to desert me, Fiza said.

Showcause notices against Chand Mohammad
CHANDIGARH: The Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued fresh showcause notices to Chand Mohammad alias Chander Mohan,former deputy chief minister of Haryana asking as to why contempt proceedings should not be initiated against him. The notices have been issued in the wake of a contempt petition filed by one Dalbir Singh,who had alleged that he was being transferred repeatedly at the behest of Chander Mohan while serving as the District and Food Supplies officer. He had moved the High Court which had directed the Haryana government not to transfer him. When he was transferred again,he approached the High Court demanding initiation of contempt proceedings against Chander Mohan,who was serving as the District and Food Supply minister. Since notices were not served to Chander Mohan,fresh showcause notices have been issued.
