Shoppers Stop,one of the leading fashion and lifestyle chains in the country has launched its first store in Amritsar at Alfa One Mall. The store marks Shoppers Stop’s entry into the state of Punjab and is also the 29th store in the country. “We had been wanting to step foot in Punjab for a long time,” mentioned the company’s president and CEO,Govind Shrikhande at the launch in Amritsar earlier this week,adding,“Amritsar is rapidly emerging as a cosmopolitan city with fashion conscious citizens. We already have a sizable base of loyal customers from here who travel to our nearby Delhi and NCR stores,so this was the ideal city for us to launch in the state.”

Apart from in-house brands,international labels like Calvin Klein,Esprit,Benetton,Guess,Hugo Boss,Diesel,Armani,US Polo,Mustang,and Playboy too will be available at the outlet.

Actor Sunny Deol recently launched Airtel Talkies,an audio cinema on the move at the company’s Chandigarh campus. With this technology,a customer availing the service will be able to transform his mobile into an audio cinema hall.
