Innovations result from those with a scientific bent of mind,like Chetan Gupta,who has won the National Bal Bhavan’s Bal Shree Honour 2009 for creative excellence in the field of creative scientific innovations. This student of Class VII,Delhi Public School,is one among the 15 students who have been selected from all over the country and will receive the honour from the President of India. Besides endowed with a keen sense of observation,Chetan is passionate about poetry and has been awarded for his poem on Mahatma Gandhi during a poetry writing competition at the poetry festival held during the National Bal Shree selection camp. “It was a tough competition,and he’s done us proud,” shares his father Vineet Gupta. On the academic front too,Chetan’s a winner,having been awarded the scholar badge and prizes in the National Olympiads. “Such students do the school proud and boost the morale of teachers to put in more efforts,” feels Reema Dewan,Principal of Delhi Public School.
