Drunk on duty,head constable suspended

A UT Police head constable was on Monday suspended for being drunk on duty.

A UT Police head constable was on Monday suspended for being drunk on duty. Hardev Singh,a head constable,was found in an inebriated state creating a ruckus while on duty in Sector 34 on Sunday night.

The Police Control Room received information around 4 am that incharge of PCR vehicle Sugar-12,HC Hardev Singh,was creating nuisance in an inebriated state near Piccadilly Cinema,Sector 34.

Inspector Raghbir Singh,who was the night checking officer,rushed to the spot but by that time,the drunk head constable had fled,leaving his weapon behind in his vehicle. Acting on his misconduct,indiscipline and wilful absence from duty,he was suspended with immediate effect and sent to Police Lines.
