With the atmosphere charged up with sounds of screeching tyres and dirt flying all over,the attention of the enthusiasts shifted from the cars towards two contestants,Sunny Sidhu and Suresh rana,considered favourites to win the OYA Autocross and Motocross,organised by the Old Yadavindrians Association at Dusshera Ground on Saturday. With two rallyists from the X-treme category,the energy level at the race-courses was bound to be high. But local Sunny Sidhu,amid overwhelming response from the crowd,went on to win the OYA and 1150-1650 CC category races,much to the delight of the crowd. Pipping hot favourite Suresh Rana,Khushwant Randhawa caused a flutter when he won the Gypsy 4 by 4 category with Sunny Sidhu in the second position. In the 4 Stroke Motorbike category,Maninder Singh Prince took the honours,while Shuchi Thakur claimed the title in the Ladies category. Amritpal Singh bagged the 800 CC category title,while Uday Sidhu claimed the title in the Novice category.
