On the concluding day of the digital art workshop hosted by the Government College of Arts (GCA),Sector 10,a marriage of imagination and technology marked an array of artwork. “This was a first-of-its kind workshop for the graduating batches. We focussed on teaching students how to merge different mediums to create a harmonious effect,” said Dr DS Kapoor, principal of the college. The batch of 30 had created 100 works, among them an arresting piece by a specially-abled artist,Priyanka Singh, who depicts herself raising her hands in prayer in Hope. Yamini Gupta makes a self portrait with typography. The one work that stood apart was Rahul Dhiman’s sunrise scene, made by merging sketches and paintings with digital art. The works are on display on the bulletin boards of the college till October 10.
