Different admission criteria for entry-level classes

For admission to entry level classes,all private schools in the city have reserved 25 per cent seats for children belonging to economically weaker sections of society,as per the Right To Education Act,2009.

For admission to entry level classes,all private schools in the city have reserved 25 per cent seats for children belonging to economically weaker sections of society,as per the Right To Education Act,2009. However,there are variations in admission criteria followed by schools for filling the remaining 75 per cent seats. In some prominent schools,these seats have been reserved for wards of school staff and alumni,siblings of students studying in the school and for students of pre-primary wing. The number of reserved seats varies in all schools.
