The ‘suspended’ principal of DAV College in Sector 10,Dr B C Josan, undeterred by all the allegations and opposition carried out his duties from a makeshift office right outside the college principal’s office on Monday. There was apathy among the college students and staff who could only express their displeasure over the entire issue.

While, neither the DAV College Managing Committee nor the officiating Principal Shashi Gupta opened the principal’s office,Dr Josan remained sitting outside the office throughout the day. He was seen attending to the college staff and students who had come to meet the principal. Though he denied signing any orders or taking any decision,he was seen making every effort to not let lose the charge from his hands.

Dr Josan said,“As I had handed over the key to the office,it was not opened today. Thus,I am sitting outside. I will continue my work from here. As the Punjab and Haryana High Court had left the final decision to the University Registrar,I consider the report submitted by him as the order of revoking my suspension.”

The officiating principal,Prof Shashi Gupta did not come to college and is reported to be on leave since Saturday. With the internal examinations going on,such state of affairs are talking a toll on the students.
