Dal Khalsa calls state bandh on Nov 3

The Dal Khalsa and Khalsa Action Committee have asked the people of Punjab to observe a complete bandh on November 3 to mark the 25th anniversary of 1984 massacre of Sikhs.

The Dal Khalsa and Khalsa Action Committee (KAC) have asked the people of Punjab to observe a complete bandh on November 3 to mark the 25th anniversary of 1984 massacre of Sikhs. Addressing mediapersons,Dal Khalsa leaders Harchranjit Singh Dhami and spokesperson Kanwarpal Singh said Punjab would remain closed on the day when 25 years ago,nearly 10,000 innocent Sikh men and women were killed in the capital.

Bhai Mohkam Singh,chairman of the KAC— a conglomerate of various Sikh outfits— said that only essential and emergency services including medical services would be allowed on the day. The Dal Khalsa leaders assured that the shutdown would be peaceful.
