Organised by Sahitya Kala Parishad,performances by North Indian folk musicians and dancers will add a dash of colour to the fair. “Pandwani,a musical rendition of Mahabharata that is unique to Madhya Pradesh,will be performed by folk singers from the state. There is Aalha,a folk ballad from Uttar Pradesh’s Bundelkhand region,which tells the story of brothers Aalha and Udal,who were in the service of Raja Piramal of Mahoba,” explains Shekhar Vaishnavi,secretary of Sahitya Kala Parishad,adding that folk performances from Rajasthan will also be part of the fair. In addition,magician Ashok Bhandari will be seen with his mix of magic,music and theatre,along with Rajasthani puppeteer Puran Bhatt.
