Hardik helps Satluj Academy win

Chandigarh: Hardik slammed a superb half-century (56 runs) as Satluj Cricket Academy beat Baptist Cricket Academy by 17 runs in a cricket match of the 4th Under-14 Summer Cup cricket trophy,being organised by the Kundan Cricket Academy,on Friday. Batting first,Satluj Cricket Academy scored 167 runs in their stipulated 20 overs. Hardik’s knock came off 40 deliveries. Gurpreet chipped in with useful 33 runs off just 16 balls. In reply,Baptist batsmen failed to get going and fell short of the target by 17 runs despite Simranjit’s half-century (57).

Boxing tourney from April 29

Chandigarh: The 35th Junior Men and Ninth Women Chandigarh State Boxing Championship will be held at Sector 42 Sports Complex,Sector 42,from April 29. Boxers born in the year 1994 and 1995 are eligible to take part in both the categories. All the boxers are required to bring the authority letter signed from the head of the institution along with original date of birth certificate and I-Card/medical book of IBF at the time of weigh-in at 8 am on April 29. The men’s and women’s teams for the National Championship will also be selected after the championships.
