Cricket trials today

Chandigarh: Chandigarh Cricket Association (Affiliated with Haryana Cricket Association) will conduct the trials at 2.30 PM on April 9 at Government Model School,Sector 19 to select the probables for the U-14 category. Players born on or after September 1,1999 are eligible to take part in the trials and are required to bring a copy of their date of birth certificates along with them at the trials.

Alok Kumar loses in final

Chandigarh: Chandigarh’s Alok Kumar lost 4-6 to reigning billiards world champion Rupesh Shah of Gujarat in the final of the 12th Asian Billiards Championship played at Indore Tennis Club,Indore,Madhya Pradesh on Monday. Shah won the first frame in the best of 11 match before Kumar claimed the second frame to level the match at 1-1.
