Creative surge

The hard work put in by the students of the Inter-National Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) became obvious at a glamourous show held on Wednesday evening at Tagore Theatre. Titled ‘Designer Medley’,this year’s edition of the event saw as many as 85 fashion designing students come up with 20 different theme-based collections. From graffiti art to New Age tattoos,students drew inspiration from around the world. The show,choreographed by Vahbiz Mehta and compered by Pallab Bose,saw leading models such as Alesia Raut,Shamita Singha,Aarohi Mishra,Aparajita Sharma,Tulip Bhattacharya and Megha Chatterjee take to the ramp. The parents and friends of the students cheered all the way and naturally so. Given the variety of collections and out-of-the-box themes,it sure made for one successful show.
