AIESEC members from across the world unite to implement developmental projects in the city
We are giving out a call to the youth to extend a hand,to reach out and be the change they want to see, says Siddhant Choudhary,vice-president,Communications,Association Internationale des Étudiants en Sciences Économiques et Commerciales (AIESEC),as he introduces Impact India,a project that will see AIESEC members,including 150 international interns getting together to work for the country. Assisted by NGOs from the city and students of various colleges,we will work on various issues including education,HIV/AIDS,rural and community development,child right and environment, says Sahil Dewan,president,AIESEC. Interns will also be groomed in life skills,soft skills and professionalism,he adds.
In Project Footprints,the focus is on various issues faced by the children today. While we will hold a learning network day,the discussions will be carried on virtually on http://www.aiesec.net and other AIESEC forums, says Saxena. The organisation is also coordinating with the Society for the Care of Blind,Sadhna Society for Mentally Challenged,Indian National Portage Association and Youth Technical and Training Society.
