Ignorance is bliss
The new Panchkula estate officer,Satbir Singh Saini needs to be a little more updated with his office jurisdiction. Every time he is asked about any issue,all he does is call his lower officials to ask if the particular issue is within the purview of the estate office or not. Recently,when contacted to ask about the status of the mini restaurant site at the Nirjhar Vatika park in Sector 5 Panchkula,all he had to say was that it falls in the jurisdiction of the HUDA horticulture wing. It was only after his officials told him,that he realised that it was under his jurisdiction and so he should know about the status of the mini restaurant site.

“So Mr counsel,how is your health ?” asked a Haryana law officer,oozing with confidence,to his opposing counsel in a property dispute case. The question was specifically asked to embarass his opposing lawyer who had been seeking adjournments for over a month citing health grounds. “I am perfectly fine,by the way I have got stay in this case from the Supreme Court,” he smilingly responded to the Haryana counsel whose smile shrinked in no time.
