Chandigarh: Rakhi was celebrated today at the Brahma Kumaris zonal office,Rajyoga Bhawan,Sector 33. The significance of rakhi was explained and BK Achal Didi tied a rakhi on everyones wrists. A special programme for the general public will be held at the Rajyoga Bhawan on the day of rakshabandhan. The Brahma Kumari sisters will organise programmes at various places in the city.

PGIMER sets up Centre for Child Health

CHANDIGARH: PGIMER,under the aegis of the Indian Council for Medical Research,has established the Advanced Centre for Evidence Based Child Health in its Advanced Pediatric Centre,with Meenu Singh as the principal investigator. This is the first centre of its kind in the country. The centre initiated the short course on how to practice evidence based child health on July 28.

Team Anna sits on hunger strike

Chandigarh: Members of the Chandigarh unit of India Against Corruption sat on a hunger strike for a few hours on Sunday opposite the Hanuman Mandir,Sector 20. The protest is being held to demand the constitution of a Special Investigative Team against 15 ministers against whom charges of corruption have been leveled.
