Three held for stealing mobile phones

Chandigarh: The Chandigarh police on Sunday arrested three people,including a juvenile,for allegedly stealing mobile phones and other accessories from a shop in Phase- 2,Ram Darbar. The accused Ravi (20) and Sompal (18) were arrested near Ramdarbar. Seven mobile phones and mobile accessories were recovered from them. Rohtash Kumar,IO,told Chandigarh Newsline that one of the accused Ravi was in the jail and released recently.

Two arrested with poppy husk

Chandigarh: The Chandigarh police arrested two people on Sunday for allegedly possessing poppy husk. Ayub Khan (39) resident of Gwalior was allegedly in possession of 10 kg of poppy husk at the time of his arrest near Air Light Point . He allegedly supplied Poppy Husk to another accused Shehnaz (35) who was supposed to sell it to customers. Shehnaz who is a resident of Behlana village was arrested near Airport Light Point.
