A Mohali resident alleged that an unidentified car hit the scooter she was riding on Sunday near Sector 39/40 dividing road. Poonam,who was riding the scooter along with her relative suffered head injuries,and was taken to GMSH-16 and PGI for treatment. Police said,the driver hit the victims scooter from behind at 11.50 am on Sunday,and fled from the spot. A case of rash driving under the IPC have been registered with the Sector 39 police.
