Buffets are popular in the city and this new restobar makes the most of it
Dining out in larger groups has its pros and cons. The more the merrier it might be,but satisfying everyones tastebuds and yet staying within a budget is no mean feat. On weekends, most fine-diners and now even fast food joints are increasingly rolling out pocket-friendly buffets and set menus a relatively new phenomenon in Chandigarh. Jumping on the buffet bandwagon is On the House,a new restobar in Sector 35 thats taking the buffet-business seriously.
In what could be a first for the city,On the House offers not just a meal buffet but clubs a drink buffet as well. The all-inclusive meal combos with snacks begin at Rs 399. But,at Rs 599,one can club the drinks buffet (includes six standard alcoholic drinks) with it. The menu is a predictable mix of Indian,Chinese and Thai.
On the House will appeal to a large family or ladies on a kitty party. We find Chandigarh is a price conscious city and all-inclusive options are more sought after, says the restobars partner-owner Navneet Choujar. On the House also charms with its free drop-off service after 11 pm. Drunken driving is a menace and we want to make sure guests enjoy an evening out and dont have to compromise, adds Choujar.
