Families of the 17 Indian youths currently on death row in UAE will need to wait longer for their return home as the case’s hearing,which was due on Thursday,has been put off till April 28. Avtar Singh Mullanpuri,vice-president of Lok Bhalai party,who is in Dubai,said,“The judge has asked both parties to try and reach some kind of compromise before or till the next hearing. The person who is deposing before the court on behalf of the family of the Pakistan national who was killed has informed the court that while he has no objection to a compromise,he would need time to reach the proposal of compromise.”

The senior medical officer,Ropar has displayed a notice at the notice board of the Emergency Ward of Civil Hospital,Ropar stating that all doctors working at the emergency ward should admit more indoor patients at the hospital. The monthly report of hospital has been reviewed and it has been found that the number of indoor patients is far less than the target. So,to improve the progress report of the hospital,it is required to admit more patients in the hospital.
