BJP celebrates 33rd foundation day

The Bharatiya Janata Party celebrated its 33rd Foundation Day at the party headquarters - 'Kamlam’ - in Sector 33 on Friday.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated its 33rd Foundation Day at the party headquarters – ‘Kamlam’ – in Sector 33 on Friday. National General Secretary of the party MP Jagat Prakash Nadda unfurled the party flag on the occasion. A blood donation camp,eye pledge camp and a free medical check-up camp were organised. Nadda also inaugurated a party activist meet. While addressing the party activists,he said that by organising the camps,the BJP has shown that it is not only interested in political activities but discharges its social duties as well.

Nitin Gadkari,national President of the BJP along with Kalraj Mishra and Vijay Goel had a talk with the party’s Chandigarh unit through video conferencing. BJP president Sanjay Tandon said his party should organise more blood donation and eye pledge camps and should start an awareness campaign to educate the general public about blood and eye donation. Former president Jairam Joshi said the party has completed a long journey since its foundation and has done a lot for every section of society.

As many as 228 units of blood were collected and 102 persons pledged their eyes during the celebrations. Besides this blood sugar,blood pressure and other diagnosis services were provided. There was free consultation by experts from the fields of acupressure and yoga.
