Beware of Congress,makes false promises: Nadda warns youth

BJPs All India General Secretary J P Nadda,on Saturday,accused the Congress of trying to mislead Himachal youth through its manifesto which promises to give unemployment allowance and asked the Congress if it has any history of granting such an allowance in any of its states.

Speaking at a press conference,Nadda said: I advise the youths to beware of Congress,which has history of cheating people in election manifesto and not fulfilling its promises. In 2003,Congress promised to give a job to every family in the state but signed an MOU with the Centre to freeze all jobs and stop fresh recruitments.

In 2009 Lok Sabha elections,Congress promised to provide over 1 crore jobs in the country,but the fact is that in the past three-and-a-half years more than 1 crore people have lost their jobs due to bad economy,industrial recession and scams in the core sectors especially telecom and coal.

I am awakening the youth to not be misled by promises of Congress this time too, Nadda added.

Commenting on promises made by Congress regarding social and agriculture sectors,he said: It is an endorsement of the schemes and projects initiated by Dhumal, adding that Congress had merely adopted BJP policies.

Nadda also accused the Congress manifesto of being silent on resource mobilisation and recovery of arrears from the BBMB projects.

On increasing custom duty on imported apples,the BJP leader said Dhumal had been demanding a 20 per cent increase in duty for the past five year but the Centre had not reacted. It is a betrayal of the apple growers, he added.
