Everytime they set foot on the stage, they set it on fire. At an age when children are busy shuttling between school and hobby classes, these three brothers from Bathinda are singing their heart out, winning accolades the world over. The three little Sufi singers have made it to the semi finals of India’s Got Talent 3 on Colors, and were in town recently to celebrate the feat. Popularly known as the Ali Brothers, the three: Ahmed Ali,11,Pravesh Hasan,13,and Pravesh Bablu,14,credit their mother for passing on the singing genes to them. “Our family has been into Sufi singing for ages,” said one of them. To keep the family tradition alive, they have been training in music since their childhood. Already the favourites of the jury, the three are known for their renditions of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s songs and other sufi numbers. But given a chance, they say they would love to sing Kishore Kumar and Mohammad Rafi hits too. Will they be the next champions?
