An autorickshaw driver was killed after his vehicle was hit by a motorcycle near Saket on the Pinjore Panchkula highway. The motorcyclist was also injured in the accident. Police said the accident took place around 10.30 pm on Sunday. The deceased,Rajinder Kumar (43),a resident of Zirakpur was taken to General Hospital in Panchkula but was declared dead on arrival. When the motorcycle hit the auto from behind,it turned turtle,killing Kumar on the spot, said a police officer in Chandimandir. The injured motorcyclist,identified as Vijay Kumar of Bijnore Uttar Pradesh,was shifted to General hospital,panchkula where he is being treated. A case was registered in police station Chandimandir. Rajinder Kumar's body was handed over to his family after a postmortem was conducted in the hospital on Monday. Kumar is survived by his wife,son and daughter.
