Ashwani ignores diatribe

Even as the BJP top brass takes strong exception to the outburst by former Transport Minister Master Mohan Lal – an MLA from Pathankot – against the party leaders,state party chief Ashwani Kumar Sharma himself is keeping a studied silence over the whole matter. Also hailing from the border town of Pathankot in Gurdaspur district,Ashwani said he did not want to ‘react’ to Lal’s uneasy remarks against him.

“I do not want to make any comment on what he says. There are party forums where the matter can be taken up,” he told The Indian Express. He said there was no need for any one to keep a grudge

against him for the ouster from the state Cabinet as it was BJP leadership’s decision,which should be respected by all and sundry. Master Mohan Lal has blamed Ashwani for his ‘unceremonious exit’ from the Badal Cabinet along with Manoranjan Kalia and Swarna Ram,facing corruption charges under CBI’s investigations.
