Chandigarh: A demolition drive was carried out at Pipliwala town road on Friday. Nineteen structures were demolished from government land. The drive was carried out under the supervision of Joint Commissioner Kamlesh Kumar.

Robbery outside bank

Kharar: A man was robbed of Rs 1 lakh cash outside a bank branch near the busy Bust Stand Chowk on National Highway 21 in Kharar in broad daylight on Friday afternoon.

Man electrocuted

Mohali: Deepak Kumar,a Hotel Grand Pacific employee, was electrocuted while on duty at Lalru,Mohali district,the police said here on Friday. He came in contact with the overhead live electricity wire while cleaning the hotel rooftop.
