Kashmir Valley remained cut off from rest of the state for seventh day on Sunday as fresh landslides erupted along the Jammu-Srinagar national highway at Marog near Ramban disrupting movement of nearly 1,000 light vehicles.
The prime minister would also dedicate 11 completed NH projects, covering a total length of about 873 km, to the nation, he added. The completed projects include a six-lane cable-stayed bridge across the Chambal river at Kota.
Mahesh Patil, Superintendent of Police said that as the gas was leaking from the tanker, NH8 was sealed off till Versova bridge and motorists were directed to use other routes while rescue operations were underway.
The road transport ministry will soon seek cabinet approval to lower the current traffic threshold for upgrading two-lane national highways to four-lane highways. The clearance is expected to come later this month.
Hisar, Feb 25 (ANI): Haryana Director General of Police Yashpal Singhal on Thursday denied the presence of any evidence in the alleged rape incident during the recent quota protests in Hisar, Haryana. According to local media reports, women passengers were stopped on the national highway near Murthal in Haryana on early Monday morning and were dragged to the surrounding fields and raped. Further probe is underway.
