SDM narrowly escapes car collision

Police have detained a Sector 44 resident,Vikrant Singh,after his jeep and the vehcile of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) and director IT,Tanvi Gargs official vehicle had a narrow escape from a head-on collision near Sector 44,on Wednesday. Vikrant,who works at a jewellery shop,went home but minutes later,a PCR vehicle came to fetch him to the Sector 34 police station. Police said that Vikrant was rounded up as preventive action.

Man complains of ATM card cloning

In a recent case of ATM card cloning,Jagdishwari Singh,a resident of Sector 36 complained that he has been defrauded of Rs 82,380 in total,which were withdrawn at three different times on April 10 through his HSBC credit card. Rs 45,500,Rs 230 and Rs 36,650 were withdrawn at 7.24 pm,7.58 pm and 8.26 pm,respectively on April 10. The complaint reads that the transactions came to his notice when he received three alerts on his mobile phone giving details about the the withdrawals. I immediately tried to contact HSBC bank on their customer care number of Chandigarh and New Delhi but in vain, said the complainant.
