Anil Kaushik promoted to DGP

1975-batch IPS officer Anil Kaushik has been promoted to DGP rank,after the Election Commission of India gave the go-ahead to the state government in this regard. He is presently Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) and is holding charge of prisons department.

In a letter on April 24 to the state government,the ECI stated that it has cleared the proposal of the government to promote Kaushik. The departmental promotion committee in February this year had cleared Kaushik’s name to be promoted to the DG rank.
